Shopping.Windstar.com's Frequently Asked Questions
How do I purchase products on your shopping
cart?
Click on the category you are interested in. All pages have
the category tree on the left side. You'll see how some categories have
sub-categories on the left that you can choose from. The home page (Store Front) has pictures with links that you can go to the chosen category as well.
Once you are at the category you want you can click on Add
One to Basket to add that product to your shopping cart or click on
the link/picture to get more details.
You are required to select the options that are in bold.
You then type in the quantity you want of this product and click on Add
to Basket to add that quantity of product to your shopping cart.
At any point you can remove a product or alter the quantity
by clicking Basket Contents which is in the menu near the top
of the page. When you are ready to make your purchase click
Checkout on the far right of the menu. You may either (1) create
a new account, (2) place an order without creating an account or (3) log into
your established account.
Why would I create an account at Shopping.Windstar.com?
Creating an account is not required. However,
there are certain benefits described below:
- When you return to make more purchases the shipping and
billing information will already be filled in for you once you log into your
account
- Those with accounts may be notified of specials not
offered to customers without accounts.
Is my transaction information is secure?
We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, which encrypts
or scrambles your personal and credit card information before it is sent to
us. This prevents anyone other than select persons at Shopping.Windstar.com
from accessing it. We use a registered Equifax Secure Certificate Authority
SSL certificate to assure that your transactions are secure. You'll notice
that
on pages where
secure
information
is collected the URL or address in your browser will start with https:// rather
than just http://, signifying that these pages are secure. For more information

What credit cards do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
Do I pay state sales tax on your products?
Only those with shipping addresses in Massachusetts (6.25%) and Virginia (4%) pay state
sales tax. All products are taxable except for the NRA Training.
How do I go about getting sales tax exemption for my purchase?
For those with shipping addresses in Massachusetts and Virginia, below is
a simple, one-time procedure that will enable to you purchase tax free:
- Create a Shopping.Windstar.com account by clicking on the Account link
in the blue menu that runs across the top of any page, below the Windstar
logo. Creating an account is easy to do so since the
only
additional information you need to enter is the Customer Login and Password you are using
for the account.
- Fax your certificate of sales tax exemption to 781-551-0808.
- Email us at shopping@windstar.com with
the Shopping.Windstar.com Login you have used for your shopping
cart account.
We will email
you back once we have added your Sales Tax Exempt ID to our Sales Tax
Exempt database.
Now when you select Checkout after selecting the items you'd
like to purchase, you enter your Login and Password and all your shipping and
billing information will already be entered. When you go to the page where
you select the shipping and credit card option, there will be a field filled
in with your Tax Exempt ID to confirm that the purchase is tax free. Select
Continue and you'll see on the next page that there you are not being charged
tax for your purchase.
